Trade Shows and Exhibitions of Valdese, NC announced that their first Baby Boomers Show will change venues to a larger space in the Javits Center in New York City. This show in New York will be the first of their shows, and is scheduled for the weekend of June 9th – 11th, 2006.
The Baby Boomers Show will be an exhibition open free to the public, and will have a variety of exhibitors that would be of interest to members of the baby boomer generation. Exhibitions will include representatives of a diverse mix of products, services and non-profit organizations. There will be exhibitors from areas such as: Financial Planning and Investment, Real Estate Agencies and Communities, Health and Personal Care, Home Products, Travel, Arts and Crafts, Non-profit groups and others.
The focus of the show is to be informative, as this generation of people are now making lifestyle decisions. Unlike other venues, that may focus primarily on the retirement plans of this generation, Neil Doherty also sees many people of this generation as continuing to be active in both their personal lifestyles and business. Many of them are now decision makers in business, and will continue to be for many years. Thus, the show will have both consumer and commercial aspects for the exhibitors to address.
He chose New York City for the first of his shows as there are about 1 million baby boomers in that metropolitan area. He is also planning to do the same show in other areas with a large population of this generation – such as Chicago and Houston.
